Give them a perfectly good home, a cosy bed and all the attention in the world, and somehow a paper bag becomes the most exciting thing they've ever seen.

This playful linocut captures that classic cat moment: head firmly stuck inside a paper bag, completely oblivious to the fact that his backside is hanging out the other end.

It's a little celebration of the daft things cats do and the ridiculous situations they manage to get themselves into. A fun, characterful piece for cat lovers who know that living with a cat means accepting that absolute nonsense is just part of everyday life.

Behind the Print

Created using the traditional linocut process, this design was carved by hand into a lino block before being inked and printed onto paper.

I love the bold shapes and graphic quality of linocut, especially when creating characters with a bit of attitude.
