Hey there! I’m Mark Gilmour, a Northern Ireland-based artist and printmaker. I’ve been into art for as long as I can remember, starting with drawing robins from Christmas cards when I was a kid. Birds have always been a big inspiration for me, and I’ve spent a lot of time with my dad, an amateur photographer, soaking in the beauty of nature (and seeing who could take the best photo!!)

I got back into art in my late 30s, diving back into drawing, painting, and printmaking. By day, I’m the creative director at Perfect Day Print, a wedding stationery company where I design custom artwork for couples, from portraits to pets, using only the best materials to ensure high-quality prints.
In my own studio, I’m all about experimenting. I work with whatever I feel like—linocuts, spray paint, Posca pens, oil pastels—you name it. My studio’s a bit of a mess, but that's where the magic happens! It’s a space where I can let my ideas flow and take shape naturally.

For me, it's all about mark-making. I love the process of creating something that evolves on its own, like with pieces such as "Bunch of Grazers" and "I bring you roses."
If you're curious about my work, you can check out my linocut prints, original paintings, and digital art in my online shop. Each piece is made with a lot of care and passion for capturing the world around me.
Thanks for stopping by, and feel free to explore my work further!
