Mark Gilmour is an ARTIST & PRINTMAKER FROM NORTHERN IRELAND
An emerging artist working mainly in charcoal, collage and spray paint. His interest lies in texture, contrast and the marks we leave behind — mixing detailed drawing with rough surfaces, found materials and a little bit of punk attitude. When he wants to get a little more graphic, he uses linocut to create blocky, stylised prints.

Titled The Playground, this series focuses on small abstract works built from experimentation — ink, charcoal, lines, scratches, smudges and whatever else feels right in the moment. It’s where I mess around with space, shape, texture and movement without worrying about where the piece is going. Some marks work. Some don’t. That’s what i love about art!
